Unfortunately, sometimes players create packages or plugins that do not really do what is advertised or may even case strange and undesired behavior. All of them are known as infected, and are just regular things that have bad scripts in them. Usually, they are made to cause problems for game developers and be a nuisance.
How to avoid infected models on Roblox? While the removal of the infection can, at times, be hard there are a several things to try. The first one is to revert to the older version. If the model is one already uploaded to your account, you are able to go to the Version History section of its configuration page and reset the place to the earlier version. Make sure to choose a date that definitely did not experience the infection. It means that you will have to rebuild or rescript everything that was added after this point, but it may be able to prevent you from having to rebuild everything. Please be careful when re-adding any free packages in order to prevent the infection from returning.
The second one is to start your place over. In some cases, the infection may go so deep that the only way to fix this kind of thing is to start over again. First of all, open Roblox Studio. Under the New Project, click on the selected starting template. Under file, you need to click on Publish to Roblox As… . From this stage, a pop up window will open. All that you have to do is to select the game that you want to replace. Once the upload bar reaches 100%, please click OK. Please take a note that the starting templates change from time to time.
Can you prevent infections from occurring in the first place? In order to prevent the models from being infected in the future, there are a few things that you can do. First, always save the progress before inserting free packages. Second, always investigate packages that you take out of the public inventory. You need to make sure it has no bad scripts in them, or scripts that have questionable names. If the package has comments enabled, it is better for you to read them to see what the other players have said. Third, utilize the Roblox Studio to its fullest for the building games, as bad scripts in packages cannot be run in the Roblox Studio environment by default. You are able to then check the packages and prevent the bad things from occurring. Fourth, for plugins, try to running in a test place prior to putting it into the game place. Please keep in mind that there is no way for the script to get into the account security or billing information, so you do not have to worry. You are able to report all of the packages through Report Abuse system by clicking on the Report Abuse link located on the package or script or plugin’s description page.
