Roblox encourage all players to help them maintain the environment that is both safe and fun for everyone. However, sometimes some players just do not get along well. There might be a time when you wish to keep certain users from being able to talk to you by blocking them.
How do you block people on Roblox? In order to block another user in the browser or mobile apps, the first thing that you have to do is to visit the profile page of the user. Then, choose the three dots in the upper right corner of the box containing their username and friends or followers information. By doing that step, a menu will pop up. It is where you are able to choose the option to Block User.
If you want to block another user from inside a game, first of all, you need to find the user in the leaderboard or player list on the upper right of the game screen. In case the list is not visible, it is likely just closed. In order to re-open it, please select your username in the upper right corner. Please take a note that the leaderboard may not show up if you are using the small screened device such as a phone, in which case you would need to use the profile page method outlined above. Once you have found the name of the user that you want to block inside the thing called the leaderboard, you have to select it and a menu will open up. The next thing that you have to do is to select Block User. Aside from that, you are also able to choose to unblock them or report abuse directly from this menu as well. Once you have blocked the user that you want, the icon to the left of their name will turn into the circle with a line through it to indicate they have been blocked.
Apparently, Roblox also offers a variety of privacy settings in order to limit the certain forms of communication and actions to particular groups of people, such as only your friends or followers. Every chat in the platform is filtered to prevent inappropriate contact and personally identifiable information from being visible on the site. All the Roblox players have different safety settings and experiences based on their age. Every player age 12 and below has their posts and chats filtered both from the inappropriate content and to prevent the personal information from being posted. Every player age 13 and older has the ability to say more words and phrases than younger ones. The thing called the filtering system will cover all areas of communication on Roblox, public and private.
The age group of the account is displayed in the upper right corner of the browser as either 13+ or <13. Beside, this one is also displayed while in the games. The age group of the account is not displayed to the other players.
